Despite carbon fibre often being considered as a superior material for bicycle frames, it is not a material which is well understood.

I aimed to solve that problem with an in-depth feature looking into exactly what carbon fibre is, its construction, environmental impact, repairability and its future.

Through my own research and interviews with carbon fibre experts, design engineers and leading repair experts, the article shone a light on the key elements of the material, misconceptions and noteworthy innovation within the industry.
